I would have to say no to your question of "Do religious believers ever watch this stuff". The reason I say no is because I have a lot of religious friends that literally choose not to question their faith.
ReplyDeleteThey are conditioned to believe that any attempt to dissuade them from there beliefs is a direct attack from the devil and must be fought off! they truly believe that we are in league with the devil and everything you say to them comes out as; "come to hell with us and join the dark side" some take the retarded argue their point approach and some simply place their fingers in their ears and say: la la la la la I'm not listening la la la!

thanks for beign here. am an atheist as a caribean woman am expected to follow suit and praise and worship.one of my aunts doused me with holy water sh3e says am punishment for urepented sins. ha born a catholic i refuse to die on my knees i will die in my firm stand there is no god.its just a scare tactic to control and manipulate.religion is a money making machine

ReplyDeleteThis is an extremely useful meme to a religious memeplex. It's a bit like a habit of ending secret messages with the line "burn after reading." The meme of "end sentences that way" helps to keep secrets secret, and therefore perpetuates the burn thing. The meme of "deny objections" aids the survival of the beliefs that would be challenged.
Religion is based off of selfishness and it's evident in the prayers of believers. They pray mainly for others to see things their way or for them to be blessed by their mythological deity. But it would be sad if religion were eradicated for it gives me the most entertaining moments during ho-hum times.
