I'd call it a Gish Gallop but that would be too complimentary to my host

Here is the feed from my discussion with aspiring libertarian talk radio host Jenifer Felt. Two points to keep in mind when before you click on this: 1. It's pretty funny; and 2. You'll never get those 60 minutes of our life back: http://bit.ly/5BF4ZJ

I heard the whole thing life. You were not able to keep one point to the end, she was jumping to the next, screaming and interrupting all the time.

I wanted you guys talked about the bible, but when you mentioned she moved. She started friendly and the she went really mean.

Not nice. But you did really good. I wish you had more time to talk without being interrupted so often.

Three Gods - do they ever disagree? That was priceless.

I also liked the comment from Jen that she eats animals and hates PETA because she is a Republican.

Your composure was amazing while dealing with such an emotional and strong willed debater. I was hoping that both of you would have been able to have a rational fact based debate, but I was wishing for too much. Maybe I should try praying before the next debate see if that works.

God, this makes me want to go out and hone my debating skills! You did really well! I wish she had let you finish your point about how moderate beliefs can create extremism. I'm especially interested because my father-in-law is a moderate who keeps talking about how his beliefs don't hurt anyone and actually help. It would be nice to know how to answer him.

Stef, one of the reasons moderate believers are a problem is that they lend power to extremists and rarely or never call them out on their extremism. "Christians" are an overwhelming majority in the US, and when right-wing extremist Christians (for example) start talking, it is usually perceived that they are talking for all Christians... and since moderates rarely speak out against the extremists and since they all happily go by the same label, it's hard to say that the moderates are not lending their support to the nutters.

I could only get through half of that -the complete hypocrisy of her asking you to stop interrupting her made my skin crawl, and after she did it about 75 times I thought I might have a mild aneurysm. Good job maintaining your professionalism and kindness towards the host for as much as I heard of it. It would have been nice if she'd have let you speak for more than 10 seconds at a time, but I suppose interrupting you was the only way she could hope to keep some kind of upper hand, annoying as it was.

You did well putting up with her self conceit and irrational assumptions, presumptions, and interruptions. Not to mention her blatant self contradictions.

I especially liked the part where she says she wouldn't believe a man walked on water if she saw it, but she believes in the mythical Bible story of a man walking on water because she has faith.

I was literally scratching my head going, huh?
