U.S. Military Weapons Inscribed With Secret "Jesus" Bible Codes

Here is today's exhibit as to why the world would be better off without religion: http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/us-military-weapons-inscribed-secret-jesus-bible-codes/story?id=9575794

If any Christian happens by this site and would like to defend the U.S. military being equipped with Bible-coded sights, I would love to hear from them.

This is consistent with the religious Bush military briefings which I blogged about last May:

Jesus could drop a pachyderm at 2 miles with that rifle! If that isn't god-like I don't know what is..

We often hear politicians say "God is on our side".

Is this the same God that planned to murder Moses?

This is outrageous. As a non-believer, I find this threatening. This is saying, in no uncertain terms "these are the weapons of a Christian warrior", and it's troubling.

You know what, I went to this abcnews.com story and posted a comment saying "The military should be 100% secular. A soldier's loyalty should be to the Constitution, not to an imaginary savior"

.... and my comment got DELETED!! Was it out of line? Was it offensive? Apparently someone thought so. I mean, just go read the other comments on that story... people calling atheists 'morons' and that's putting it mildly. I don't see their comments getting deleted. I guess I know where the moderators at abcnews.com stand on the issue.

I fear stepping into these waters because I'm not an atheist, but I do happen to agree that the Scripture references do not belong on military sights.

Anyway, interesting blog, and interesting POV. Not likely to "convert" this theist, but interesting.
