What's the big deal with killing yourself if you're immortal?

If anyone is aware of the apologetic answer to the theological objection tidily summed up in the graphic below, I'd love to hear it.

  1. Additionally, Jesus died after a couple hours on the cross- most people took days, and then only spent a couple days in hell. How does that qualify Him to say he knows our suffering. I apparently will be spending an eternity in hell. Shouldn't Jesus still be there.

  2. I recently asked a related question on the website godcontention.org (not my first question there, I should add) to the effect that, if Jesus could have prevented his own death but didn't, wasn't that suicide? The answer from the resident Christian wasa masterpiece of mumbo-jumbo and evasion. So no surprises there.

  3. Yeah, I've always said, if he knew he was immortal, he was a whining, pathetic coward in the Garden of Gethsemane when he begged to be left off the hook.

  4. Keep in mind that the cross is the most painful way to die known to man. The word "excruciating" means "out of the cross." They literally had to invent a new word to describe the pain of crucifixion.
